Weaver is what Malone needs
Martha Weaver is exactly what the town of Malone needs. She is running for election to the Malone Town Board and I strongly support her. I urge all voters in Malone to look at her excellent experience and qualifications and then go to the polls and vote for her.
Martha was recruited to Malone 15 years ago to run the Franklin County office of the state’s Empire State Development Zone. That was a great coup for our area and a loss for Port Orford, Oregon, where she had worked as the town administrator, city counselor and president of the Port Orford Historical Society.
Since moving to Malone, she has served as president of the Malone Rotary Club and will be the governor of The Rotary International district that covers New York, Quebec and Ontario. She chaired a committee that promoted ways that the village and town of Malone could develop more efficiencies in the area of shared services. She has been involved in efforts to improve opportunities and life for the people of Malone and the surrounding areas.
I met Martha four years ago when my mother, Maryclaire Sherwin, told me that Martha was someone who got things done and that I needed to know her. Since that time, I have had the good fortune to work with Martha on several projects, and my mother’s evaluation has proven to be very insightful.
Martha is not a typical politician. She is able to accomplish successes without being in the newspaper or radio headlines. She is quiet. She is also thoughtful, competent, determined and has a history of succeeding in the tasks that she sets for herself or that improve the people around her. She is a great person for the Town Board of Malone. You owe it to yourself and your children to vote Martha Weaver on the Malone Town Board.
